There are plenty of entry-level smartphones to choose from. These devices sport large displays, better cameras and they promise to deliver good performance. Lesser-known brands even claim to offer premium features such as high-resolution cameras, vibrant screens at affordable prices. However, reliability and quality can be questionable. That’s where Samsung stands apart.

Samsung makes premium, quality smartphones. The newly launched Samsung M11 is one such offering, that balances the build quality, performance, and features. It is the successor to last year’s Samsung M10s. The new phone comes with a faster processor, more RAM and larger capacity battery. The M11 is also one of Samsung’s first entry-level device with a triple-camera setup. Let’s look at what the Samsung M11 has to offer.

Samsung phones are beautifully designed and the M11 is no different. The phone comes with an in-display punch-hole camera, that resembles Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S20 series. The phone is made of plastic, but it promises sturdiness. Samsung’s Infinity design has made the M11 significantly slimmer. The phone is slightly heavier than its predecessor, but you can barely notice it in everyday usage. The device is available in Matte Black, Metallic Blue, and Violet colors. The M11 has a fingerprint scanner at the rear, that lets you unlock the phone, purchase apps, and make payments. The phone also features Samsung’s AI face detection, to unlock the device.

The Samsung M11 comes with a 6.4-inch HD display and it runs a screen resolution of 720 x 1560. The display promises to deliver accurate colours along with wide viewing angles. The Samsung M11 features the Infinity-O display design, making the screen nearly edge-less. The phone offers a better screen-to-body ratio than most entry-level smartphones, so it a good choice for content bingers.

The M11 is a good choice for less tech-savvy people looking for an easy-to-use device. It is powered by the latest Android 10 OS and it runs Samsung’s One UI 2. The One UI 2 offers a simplistic design. Samsung says, the new UI is streamlined to offer customised colour preferences and make the UI cleaner. They have also included tons of themes, fonts, and transitions effects that let users customise the interface to their liking.

The Samsung M11 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor. It is designed to offer a strong performance in entry-level smartphones. This means, apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Gmail should load in no time. The phone sports the Adreno 506 GPU. Samsung claims, the new GPU offers 25 per cent faster graphic rendition than the older M10s model. It can run casual games such as Ludo King, Subway Surfers, and Doodle Jump without any issues. In fact, the phone should also easily handle PUBG: Mobile Lite at high graphic settings.

The Samsung M10s is available in two configurations. The entry-spec variant comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The higher-spec variant sports 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Both models support microSD cards that let you expand the storage up to 512GB.

The Samsung M11 is one of Samsung’s first entry-level smartphones with a triple-camera configuration. The primary camera is a 13MP unit, while the secondary camera uses a 2MP depth sensor camera that helps clicking DSLR-like photos. The phone also features a 5MP wide-angle camera with 115 degrees field-of-view. This camera captures more in a frame, which is great for landscape photography. The camera app also comes with an AI Detection Mode that automatically adjusts the settings after identifying the subject. It also features a Pro Mode that lets you tweak aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and exposure to click professional photos. The Samsung M11 also sports an updated 8MP front camera. The new camera offers a wider field-of-view which is great for clicking group selfies. Both, the front and rear cameras can record full HD videos at 30fps.

The Samsung M11 is a dual-SIM LTE device. The phone comes with Wi-Fi 802.11n for wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 4.2 for connecting peripherals. The phone features a massive 5,000mAh battery that should power the device for a day or more. Samsung also bundles a 15W Type-C fast charger, that claims to fully charge the phone in a few hours. The Samsung M11 is a great budget-friendly device that offers the perfect balance of features and performance. It is a great choice for people looking for a good and reliable smartphone.
