OnePlus 7T Pro – Pushing the boundaries even further

OnePlus only recently launched the all popular OnePlus 7T as an upgrade to the OnePlus 7. It carried along several nifty features from the very premium, OnePlus 7 Pro. One might think that’s all OnePlus has in store this year, but you’d be wrong. The OnePlus 7T Pro just got announced and it has interesting changes that will grab your attention. The price hasn’t changed a lot and so, you can now buy a OnePlus 7T Pro that is more up-to-date and prepped to take on the best devices in the space.

The move to an even fastest processor

The biggest change to the OnePlus 7T Pro is the move to a much faster processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+. OnePlus claims that it’s 15 per cent faster than the older OnePlus 7 Pro. This should mean better, real-world performance whether you’re multitasking between apps or playing your favourite game at the highest quality. This device can handle it all. The new technology also means this is a phone that will last you a while, so you don’t need to upgrade anytime soon. The OnePlus 7T Pro starts with a default 8GB configuration too, once again helping the cause of maximum performance and flexibility. It’s not a device where you need to keep shutting apps trying to conserve memory.

Battery charging improvements

Everybody went gaga over the recent OnePlus 7T’s Warp Charge 30T technology. Not like the OnePlus 7 Pro was a slow charger, it was among the fastest among all smartphones. The OnePlus 7T Pro now gets a 30T charge feature too which takes it from 0 to 68 per cent in just 30 minutes. That’s the kind of charge the OnePlus 7T Pro needs to get through a day and a half. Imagine waking up in the morning, plugging in the phone to charge while you get ready. You won’t need to worry about recharging the device for a long time. That peace of mind is just blissful and one of the best things about great smartphones these days. The OnePlus 7T Pro has a marginally larger battery than the 7 Pro too, a capacity of 4085mAh.

The winning formula is still intact

Most of what made the OnePlus 7 Pro phone is still very much part of the OnePlus 7T Pro’s DNA. It has that gorgeous 90Hz display with HDR10+ support. The phone is void of notches, so the size of this screen is a massive 6.67 inches, running a resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. This is way more than most other phones in the price range and does it make a difference! The 90Hz display is so much smoother than any other display. It makes browsing through long feeds on Twitter, Instagram or even web pages a wonderful experience. You simply cannot go back to using a 60Hz phone once you’ve experienced the OnePlus 7T Pro. The benefit is carried on when you play your favourite games on the OnePlus 7T Pro. Games feel way more responsive, giving you an edge in a multiplayer shooter or a racing title.

The OnePlus 7T Pro can pull off a feat such as not having a notch in this day and age because the 16MP front-facing camera is smartly hidden in the body, only to appear when you need it. It uses a reliable mechanism that pops up the camera only if you need to click a selfie. The other cameras sit securely at the back. There are three cameras at the rear, the primary one being 48MP. One of the other cameras is a 117 degree ultra-wide-angle lens camera, which is particularly great fun when you’re capturing architecture or scenic location, or even a large group of people up-close. The telephoto lens lets you zoom in closer to the action which is convenient.

The OnePlus 7T Pro shoots 4K video, even at 60fps which an incredible feature to have. This means it can shoot slow-motion videos at full HD at 240fps, or even 720p footage at 960fps. This lets you do all kinds of interesting shoots, of things like fast action sports, people’s facial reactions, splashing water or falling coins. It truly lets you get some of the cinematic slow-motion effects you only thought possible in the movies. Besides the video footage, the OnePlus 7T even shoots great photos in very low light scenarios, professional portrait photos using the rear camera or the one up-front.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is identical in construction to the 7 Pro, but it has a new colour – Haze Blue. A newer Gorilla Glass makes up the back and front of the phone, giving it unbelievable strength against scratches and dents.

The OnePlus 7T Pro also has something most phones don’t get out of the box – OxygenOS based on the latest Android 10. This version of Android brings along a host of new features and a dedicated Dark mode that is not only easy on the eyes, but also helps reduce battery consumption. Besides that, it also receives faster software and security updates. The new gesture navigation system makes it easier to use, avoiding the need for dedicated buttons taking up screen space. The OS is tweaked to be efficient in performance, and intuitive to use. It’s not what you’d like to dream of having in an OS, it’s everything you’ll need.
The OnePlus 7T Pro is a properly, premium phone for any mobile enthusiast. It has the best of features, all packaged in an elegant package all at an unbelievably low price. In some sense, it’s great value-for-money, even for a flagship device, something most other devices can only hope to beat. We think you’ll really like the OnePlus 7T Pro, so what are you waiting for?
