No matter how spacious your laptop’s keyboard and trackpad maybe, you probably lean forward while using them. This body posture isn’t healthy – it strains the neck, shoulders and your eyes, especially when if you spend several hours working. That’s where a wireless external keyboard and mouse can help. It gives you the flexibility to set up your laptop a bit higher, at your eye level, and even further away from you for a more comfortable working position. You can even connect your laptop to a TV and work while lying on a sofa. It is not just about comfort, a good external keyboard and mouse can make the overall typing experience more satisfying.

There is no shortage of external keyboards and mice these days. Most affordable models can be flimsy, or have poor wireless range. If you prefer reliability and a top-notch experience, there are few products better than the Logitech MX Keys and MX Anywhere 3.

The MX Keys is one of the most premium keyboards out there. It is made of a single metal plate for solid durability. It is heavier than most plastic keyboards, so it doesn’t shift or slide while typing. It comes with a numerical pad and function keys that double up as media controls. The keys are concave-shaped to match the shape of the fingertips. Logitech calls them Dished Keys and say they are designed to offer a comfortable and satisfying typing experience.

These keys also have a matte coating, so your finger can glide effortlessly over the surface. The keyboard has an in-built proximity sensor that automatically illuminates the keys when your hands are near it. The backlighting intensity automatically adapts to lighting conditions, and you can also adjust it manually. The keyboard also has a battery indicator above the numerical pad that glows red when the battery falls below 10 per cent.

The Logitech Anywhere 3 mouse lives up to its name. It uses Logitech’s Darkfield sensor that tracks up to a resolution of 4,000 dpi. Logitech says this sensor works even on glossy surfaces, including glass. This means no need to use a paper or magazine as a temporary trackpad when working in a coffee shop. The mouse can be also taken anywhere. It is extremely compact and will easily fit in your pocket. Despite being compact, its construction provides good palm support. The left and right sides have a rubberised textured surface for improving the grip.

It is the device’s scrolling wheel that makes it stand out from the competition. It’s an electromagnetic wheel that lets you choose between two adjustable resistance. Logitech says the wheel is extremely accurate and fast enough to scroll through a 1,000 lines in a second. If you are a programmer or anyone working on large spreadsheets, this feature will bring a smile to your face. Faster scrolling speeds will also come in handy while going through images, files, and even social media feeds.

The MX Keys offers up to 10 days of battery life, while the Anywhere 3 mouse can offer up to 70 days of battery life on a single charge. Both devices have a Type-C port, which means you can charge them even with your smartphone charger.

The MX Keys and the MX Anywhere 3 can connect to your PC with a single 2.4GHz receiver. This frees up a USB port for other peripherals. You can also pair them to your computer using Bluetooth. Both devices can connect to up to three PCs simultaneously. They support the Logitech Flow feature that makes shifting workflows between computers effortless. You just need to drag the cursor from one edge of the screen to other. This feature also lets you transfer images, texts and even folders between computers. To use this feature, all computers need to be on the same network and should have the Logitech Options software installed.

The Logitech Options software also unravels customisation options. You can use it to remap the function keys to quickly access settings and even apps. For the MX Anywhere 3, Logitech has also included pre-sets for some commonly used apps. For example, in Adobe Premiere Pro, you can use the magnetic scroll to go through the video timeline and use the side-placed buttons to redo and undo changes. The app lets you remove the paired devices, manage notifications, and enable or disable the battery saving mode.

The Logitech MX Keys and MX Anywhere 3 are easily the best wireless keyboard and mouse of 2021. They offer a premium build quality along with top-notch experience and features that can take productivity to a new level. Both these devices can be ordered from www.reliancedigital.in.
