LG C1X OLED TV – Redefining the OLED experience

No display panel technology can match the kind of high contrast and perfect blacks like OLED TVs do. OLED TVs can pull off this feat because they use per-pixel lighting, where each pixel generates its own light source, enabling perfect control over its brightness and contrast. There is no light bleed, so you get perfect black and incredible image quality. When it comes to OLED TVs, the LG C series has been at the forefront, packed with features, with stylish designs and a reputation for delivering top-notch picture quality. LG has now introduced the new C1X OLED TV, a follow-up to last year’s CX OLED TV. There are improvements, making it even better than its predecessor.

The LG C1X is a 4K OLED TV powered by their Self-Lit Pixels technology that promises superior contrast, exceptional details and a wide dynamic range. It also has 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour fidelity so colours remain vivid and lifelike. The C1X is equally impressive when it comes to high dynamic range (HDR). It supports most formats such as HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ which shows in the form of better highlights and details. The TV also has a Filmmaker Mode that turns off motion smoothing while preserving the original aspect ratios, colours, and frame rates. LG says this accurately delivers the director’s original vision, so you experience the film the way they intended.

The LG C1X runs the Alpha a9 processor. Thanks to its AI deep learning, the TV optimises images using upscaling, noise reduction, and other enhancement tools, so everything you watch looks great. The chipset is also responsible for driving the LG OLED Motion Pro feature. It analyses the picture frame-by-frame to reduce motion blur and deliver a smoother viewing experience. There is also Dolby Vision IQ support that adjusts picture settings based on content genre and ambient surroundings.

The LG C1X is a fantastic TV for gamers, thanks to 4K resolution at 120Hz with Variable Refresh Rate support. It delivers smooth and tear-free gameplay, while ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) automatically switches the TV into the low-latency Game Optimiser Mode when a console is detected. The Game Optimiser mode allows users to customise their experience with four different genre settings – Standard, First Person Shooter, Role Playing Game, and Real-Time Strategy. There are also controls for fine-tuning darker areas, along with dedicated motion and sound settings.

LG says the response times in the Game Optimiser Mode are exceptional, with an input lag of 12ms on a 60Hz signal and an insanely quick 6ms on a 120Hz signal. The newly introduced Prevent Input Delay setting boosts the response for 60Hz games and reduces the input lag below 10ms. The TV also supports NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD Freesync, so you can also enjoy PC gaming on this OLED TV.

The Self-Lit Pixel technology allows the LG C1X OLED TV to be ultra-slim. It sports minimalist design and there’s an almost bezel-less screen, an ultra-thin chassis and a stylish Dark Grey finish. The TV comes with a solid stand that is finished in Dark Grey to match the TV’s design. LG says the stand’s unique design provides a firm grip on flat surfaces, and it also effectively redirects the sound from the downward-firing speakers toward the viewer.

The TV also scores full marks for connectivity, with four HDMI 2.1 inputs that support ARC and 4K resolution at 120Hz. Other connections include tuners, three USB ports and a digital optical audio output for connecting a soundbar. For internet connectivity, there’s an Ethernet port and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac). The TV also supports Apple Airplay 2, so you can cast images, videos and more from your iOS devices.

The LG C1X runs WebOS 6.0. The updated OS brings a full-screen homepage with greater emphasis on curated content and program recommendations. The UI is simple and makes navigating through settings and menus easy. The choice of streaming apps includes YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV+. Apps such as Zee5, Voot, AltBalaji and MX Player are also present. The TV can be voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

The LG C1X comes with 40W speakers, with Dolby Atmos support for a cinema-like audio experience. The TV also features LG’s AI sound that identifies voices, effects, and frequencies and optimises them for a more immersive experience. LG says the new Auto Volume Levelling feature maintains consistent voice levels across different types of content.

The LG C1X completely redefines the content viewing experience, with its OLED panel technology. It’s stylish, feature-packed and it simply offers the best content viewing experience. The LG C1X OLED TV is now available at www.reliancedigital.in and you can also experience it in all its glory by visiting your nearest Reliance Digital store.
