Lenovo is one of a few prominent brands that offer entry-level Android tablets. Their tablets are known for the blend of features, performance and reliability. The M10 was introduced first in 2018 as an affordable Android tablet. The device came with a low-end processor that aimed at handling everyday tasks such as video streaming and internet browsing. It also looked very simple due to its all-plastic design. Lenovo has given the M10 an update by launching the Tab M10 2nd generation. The new device sports the latest hardware so it can handle the apps we use today, and it also comes with a fresh new design.

The Lenovo Tab M10 2nd generation is better constructed than its predecessor. It now uses an all-metal chassis for solid build quality and premium looks. The device is available in Iron Grey and Platinum Grey colours. The new M10 is also significantly slimmer than the previous model due to its edge-less screen design. It weighs close to 460 grams, which means it can be easily carried around in a backpack. The device comes with face ID for unlocking the device, purchasing apps and making payments. Lenovo has also introduced an optional smart charging dock, that also comes with in-built speakers.

The Lenovo Tab M10  comes with a 10.3-inch display, running a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200. The display is nearly edgeless with its 90 per cent screen-to-body ratio. It uses an IPS LCD panel that promises to render accurate colours along with wider viewing angles. This should make the Lenovo M10 a great choice for watching movies, browsing webpages, and playing games. The device also stands apart, as entry-level tablets rarely come with full HD screens. The display is also TUV-Rheinland Low Blue Light Certified, to protect eyes during longer viewing hours. The M10’s display has 330 nits of brightness, which means it should be readable even outdoors.

The Lenovo Tab M10 promises to be a solid performer with its Mediatek Helio P22T processor. This is a mid-range processor designed to handle everyday apps such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Google Chrome with ease. The device also equips an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, that promises to handle most casual games along with high-end games such as Call of Duty: Mobile. The new Lenovo M10’s 4GB of RAM should be enough for seamless multi-tasking. This means, you can easily switch between apps, games and webpages without any stutter. The device also comes with 128GB of internal storage. Lenovo has also included a dedicated microSD card slot that lets you expand the storage up to 256GB.

The Lenovo Tab M10 runs on the Android Pie OS and the UI looks a lot like stock Android. Lenovo has made some customizations to offer features such as split-screen for better multitasking. The OS also comes with a Productivity Mode, that creates a desktop-like interface. It moves the navigation keys to the bottom left of the screen, adds an always-available app drawer button, and it also creates a dock of recently used apps. You can connect a keyboard and a mouse to the tablet, and use it very much like a desktop computer. Lenovo also includes a dedicated Kids Mode, that creates a child-friendly space. This mode offers more than 400 child-friendly e-books and games. The new Lenovo M10 comes with an 8MP rear camera that should good enough for clicking casual photos and scanning documents. The device also comes with a 5MP front camera for making videos calls. The tablet also features dual microphones for suppressing background noise.

The Lenovo Tab M10 also excels on the connectivity front. The device is 4G LTE enabled, and it also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac for strong wireless connectivity. The M10 also features Bluetooth 5.0 that is fast and it offers better range than previous generations of Bluetooth. It also uses less power, and it also allows you to play audio on two connected devices at once. The device has a USB Type-C charging port and it also comes with 3.5 mm auxiliary jack for connecting wired headphones.

The Lenovo Tab M10 is also one of the first entry-level Android tablets to sport 3W stereo speakers. These speakers support Dolby Atmos, which means everything from music, podcasts and even games should sound loud and clear. The new M10 also promises a solid battery life with its 5,000 mAH battery. Lenovo claims, the tablet delivers up to 10 hours of battery life.
