Smart TVs have evolved over the years, now offering premium looks and features at affordable prices. One area where smart TVs still struggle is audio quality. A lot of smart TVs these days use 10W or 20W speakers to maintain their slim designs. The speakers on these TVs have low volume output, leaving us to spend more on soundbars or home theatre systems. The Hisense Tornado TV aims to change this. It is one of the only few smart TVs to come with a built-in soundbar, without compromising on the TV’s look. Hisense says the Tornado TV is the is loudest sounding TV is its class.

The Hisense Tornado TV looks slim despite the soundbar at the bottom. The TV has six front-firing JBL-powered speakers, out of which four are specially tuned for rendering crystal-clear sound. The other two speakers use passive radiators which allows them to render deep bass. Hisense says these speakers produce up to 102W of audio output which makes them louder than even some of the premium-priced smart TVs. These TVs use Dolby Atmos technology which allows you to have a cinematic experience at home, without the need of a home theatre system.

The Hisense Tornado TV’s soundbar system neatly blends with the TV’s edgeless screen design. The TV uses a plastic body for sturdiness, and its thin edges are painted in gray for a premium look. The rear of the TV provides cut-outs for easy and clean cable management. The TV comes with a 2-pole stand that easily lets you place the TV on a table or any other flat surface. Hisense says the TV stand is designed to offer stability, and its metallic-silver colour also matches the TV’s colour scheme.

The Hisense Tornado TV comes in a 65-inch screen size. The TV uses an IPS LED panel running a 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2160. Hisense says the Tornado TV uses an Ultra Vivid High Contrast Panel that renders bright colours for a dynamic television viewing experience. The TV’s Precision Colour feature also promises to make the picture look natural and lively. The Tornado TV also supports premium features such as Dolby Vision, a dynamic HDR standard that optimizes the picture quality by adjusting the contrast between lighter and darker shades. This means you can enjoy watching HDR content from Netflix and other online streaming services in true cinematic quality.

The Tornado TV also comes with Hisense’s AI Upscaling technology. This feature analyses the HD content frame-by-frame and upscales it to 4K by reducing noise. There is also support for Ultra Dimming technology that dims the backlit LEDs of the screen for deeper and darker blacks. Hisense says this feature promises to bring noticeable benefit to the picture quality and makes the overall content viewing experience even more immersive.

The Hisense Tornado TV comes with a Mali 480MP quad-core CPU to power the TV’s smart features. Hisense says this chipset is specially tuned for smart TVs, so it can easily run all apps and offer a stutter-free OS experience. The device has 2GB of RAM, and its 16GB of internal storage also lets you save photos, so your favourite images can be set as the TV’s screensaver. The Hisense Tornado TV runs Android 9 OS, and the TV’s UI offers a simple interface. The TV comes pre-installed with popular content streaming apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar and YUPP TV. It also has lots of local content streaming apps such as Zee5, ALTBalaji, Voot, Sony Liv, and JioCinema. The TV also supports Android Gaming, a feature that lets you play games such as Asphalt 8: Airborne, Hovercraft: Getaway, Orbia, and Badland using the bundled smart remote controller.

The Hisense Tornado TV also has Google Play Store that gives access to more than 5000+ apps. The TV also supports Google Assistant, which means you can use voice commands to adjust the volume, launch apps, search for shows and movies, and even for checking weather updates. The TV’s support for Google Home lets you control devices such as smart bulbs, plugs, air purifiers, and others, from your TV.

The Hisense Tornado TV also has many connectivity ports. The TV comes with three HDMI ports, of which one supports the ARC feature. The device also has two USB ports for connecting external hard drives and pen drives. The TV also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11ac with Dual-Band support that lets you stream 4K videos across the network. The device also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 allowing you to easily pair Bluetooth headphones and other audio devices without the hassle of wires.
