If there’s one product that’s changed the way we shoot videos, it’s the GoPro. That’s a name you’ll hear everywhere. Today marks the day when GoPro makes yet another giant leap with the all-new, all-powerful Hero 6. This is the camera that changes a lot of things. For starters, the GoPro is an epic video capturing device that you place on your bike, your car, your helmet, at your window side, on your scuba diving gear, anything that you can think of. Simply press a button and it captures flawless quality videos that you can in seconds, upload to Youtube, Facebook, Instagram or any other social media account. If that wasn’t good enough already, there’s more to expect from the GoPro Hero 6 and that is precisely what we’re going to talk about. Mind-boggling video capturing capability – 4K video at 60fps, full HD at 240fps! If you’ve watched any sort of professional extreme sports events, chances are that it was shot on a GoPro. These cameras shoot stunning quality video and the last Hero model was impressive in its own right. The new Hero 6 is even better. It shoots 4K videos, which is perfect considering 4K is becoming mainstream. What’s more impressive is that it shoots 4K videos at 60 fps so all your footage is silky-smooth. If you’re looking to capture footage in slow motion, the Hero 6 even shoots at 1080p content at 240 fps which is 8 times faster than most cameras, so you can slow down videos by 8 times. Imagine the kind of slow-motion actin you can capture. It’s truly amazing considering how compact the Hero 6 is! Improved stabilization, even at 4K resolutions – Beat that! There are cameras that try to mimic the GoPro but there’s nothing that offers the kind of quality and performance. One of the lacking things on most cameras is the image stabilization which results in very bumpy, jittery looking videos. With the improved tech on the new GoPro Hero 6, you can get smooth, stabilized content that needs no editing whatsoever. This is particularly important when you’re shooting videos on a bike or car, or doing a run where the camera isn’t steady. No one does it better than the new GoPro Hero 6. Image stabilization at 4K resolutions is a very unique thing to have. Take on the darkness with the Hero 6’s night mode One of the biggest drawbacks of cameras is being able to shoot at night. Photography is hard enough as it is without a flash but the Hero 6 tackles the darkness using its Night mode. Now you go for a late evening hike or a long drive in the night and you won’t miss a moment. Control it with your voice The GoPro Hero was already simple to use and it’s only getting better with the Hero 6. If you thought only mobile phones were smart, now you can control the Hero 6 with your voice so you don’t have to worry about finding the camera and then turning it on yourself. If that isn’t good enough, it uses a touchscreen so you can do a lot more with it. Go deep down, with water-proof capability up to 10 meters Being water-proof is important for a camera such as the Hero 6. It’s designed to withstand the elements, be it on ground or under water. While other competing products need special housings to be able to go under water, the Hero 6 does this without any. You can go down to a depth of 10 meters with just the camera. QuikStories finds your favourite moments One of the unique things about the new Hero 6 is its QuikStories feature which works alongside the GoPro app on your smartphone. It picks up key events from the videos that you shoot so it’s easy for you to pick them out before sharing them on your favourite social media account. The GoPro Hero 6 lets you do so much. If you’re still wondering what we’re been raving about, simply head over to Instagram and check out the #GoPro hashtag. You’ll find people from all around the world sharing their shoots. There is also a whole bunch of content available on Youtube on the official GoPro channel. There is so much more that can be said of the GoPro Hero 6. Come head over to one of the closest Reliance Digital stores to check out the new GoPro Hero 6.
