Noise-cancelling headphones are usually considered better than earphones. They have large earcups to provide better passive noise isolation, and they even house more noise-cancelling microphones and large drivers due to their bigger size. Bose has been the leader of noise-cancelling headphones for nearly a decade. Models such as the Bose QuietComfort 35 II and the Bose 700 are some of the best noise-cancelling headphones around. Bose has now managed to shrink everything great about their premium headphones into their newly launched Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. Bose claims the wireless earbuds bring excellent audio quality the supreme noise cancellation from their elder siblings without any compromises.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are significantly smaller than last year’s Bose SoundSports Free Earbuds. They are 3.9 cm tall, 2.7 cm wide and they weigh 8.9 grams. This makes them compact and even lighter than their closest rival. The earbuds use a plastic chassis, and the outer panel has multiple touch controls. Double-tapping the right earbud toggles playback and holding the touch activates the voice assistant on your phone. Double-tapping the left earbud lets you select your favourite three noise cancellation settings.

The QuietComfort Earbuds are Bose’s first wireless earbuds to use the new StayHere ear tips. They are offered in three sizes for extreme comfort. Bose claims, the new ear tips use a patented, soft silicon material for a snug fit. The ear tips have a wide conical shape that help achieve a good fit, without plugging deep into your ears. The design also provides better passive noise isolation than most other truly wireless earbuds. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are IP4X-rated, so they are rain and sweat-resistant. The earbuds also ship with additional fins, that provide a secure fit which is useful while jogging and working out.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds are available in two shades, Triple Black colour with a matte finish and a lighter Soapstone colour. They come with a magnetic charging case that safely stores and charges the earbuds. The case has a durable and a lightweight design. It has five LED indicators that denote battery status. The case also supports wireless charging that works with any Qi-supported wireless charger. Bose claims, the QuietComfort earbuds give up to 6 hours of battery life, with the noise cancellation set to the max. The earbuds also support fast charging, and a 15-minute charge adds 2 hours to the listening time.

The QuietComfort Earbuds delivers rich audio quality with Bose’s 0.22 mm proprietary drivers. Bose claims, these drivers are tuned to deliver the right amount of bass along with optimal highs, mids and lows. The earbuds also use Bose’s Active EQ technology, that electronically enhances bass or treble depending on volume levels. This feature helps to deliver a well-balanced and an overall enjoyable music experience. The earbuds sports 3 microphones for effective active noise cancellation. They offer 10 adjustable Active Noise Cancellation levels, a rare feature on noise-cancelling earbuds. Bose claims the highest ANC setting blocks out pretty much everything which means you can enjoy your favourite audio tracks without being disturbed by surrounding noise.

Most settings on the QuietComfort earbuds can be accessed through the Bose Music app. The app lets you check the battery status of earbuds, adjust noise cancellation levels, and even change the earbud’s name. You can also use the app to setup Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant on your earbuds. Bose also promises regular software updates for the earbuds through the app, that should bring more features in the future.

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds uses Bluetooth 5.1, which is a major upgrade over the previous Bose SoundSports Free Earbuds. The new generation of Bluetooth should deliver better connectivity, and a range of up to 30 ft. The right earbud has a specially designed microphone array, that picks up your voice while rejecting the background noise. This will help to deliver crisp and clear call quality. The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds also houses microsensors that detect when the earbuds are unplugged from your ears. It also automatically pauses playback, so you don’t miss any part of your favourite content.

Bose has managed to put all the premium qualities of their flagship headphones into the QuietComfort Earbuds. These earphones are now available at your nearest Reliance Digital store, and you can also order them online at www.reliancedigital.in.
