Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has been finally announced and this time, Samsung has surprised everyone with three new models. Yes, the latest Galaxy Note phones come in two new sizes and with a 6.8-inch Note 10 Plus, we have the biggest Galaxy Note ever made. It’s not just about the larger screen, the newer and sleeker punch-hole camera, it even looks better than the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S10 phones. With its design now slimmer, powerful hardware onboard and future-ready 5G capabilities, the Note 10 series phones are exceptional. Like each time, everyone seems to have taken note of it!

The Galaxy Note 10 and the Galaxy Note 10 Plus have a lot in common. They even share their hardware with Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series of phones. But can a single S Pen make the Note 10 series stand out from its siblings? We believe it does, as the Galaxy Note phones not just offer performance but also delivers functionality with its S pen. It’s more than just a powerful phone, and here are some things you should know about the Galaxy Note 10 series before it launches at stores near you.

Most premium looking Galaxy Note phone ever made

The design on the Galaxy Note gets better every year, and this time, it just look top-notch. The Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are made of well-polished metal and glass, which gives them a remarkably premium look. Both the Note 10 phones are just 7.9mm in thickness, they are almost as thin as a pencil. Whether you are suited up for business meets or a casual dinner, the Galaxy Note 10 looks perfect for every occasion.

The Galaxy Note 10 phones come in two new sizes. The Galaxy Note 10 sports a 6.3-inch (1080 x 2280) full-HD display, while the Note 10 Plus comes with a 6.8-inch (1440 x 3040) QHD (Quad-HD) display. Having a QHD screen gets you four times the HD resolution on your phone. This should make your video-binging experience on Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime a lot better. Both the Note devices are equipped with Samsung’s Super AMOLED display. This will delight gamers, as a Super AMOLED screen consumes less energy, improving the battery life while rendering a high-contrast ratio picture, which only enhances the gaming experience. There is more to the screen, the Note 10 and Note 10 Plus are some of the few phones to come with a certified HDR10+ display.

A true powerhouse

Samsung Galaxy Note devices were launched with one vision, to be a powerful phone that can do everything for everyone. Over the years, the Note has got mightier along with added features. You can jot down notes in your handwriting, convert them to text, scribble and even sketch. All these functionalities make the Note devices exceptional and it is impossible without having a powerful hardware.

Well, the new Galaxy Note 10 devices have all that’s needed. Both the devices run Samsung’s Exynos 9825 processor which should deliver a blazing fast performance. If you thought 4GB or 6GB RAM was the most a phone could ship with, you’ll be surprised with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus’ 12GB RAM. With this, the Note 10 devices can deliver a seamless multi-tasking performance today, and in the years to come. So, whether you have your Note app, e-mail or browser running side-by-side, the Galaxy Note 10 will handle it all smoothly.

The new Galaxy Note 10 devices will become a powerhouse for gamers too. Both the devices come with a Mali-G76 GPU which is powerful enough to run popular games such as Playerunknown’s Battleground Mobile and Fortnite. To keep phones powered for longer durations, Samsung has equipped the Note 10 with a 3500mAh battery and a 4500mAh battery on the Note 10 Plus. Samsung claims that the devices can easily last a day under heavy usage. However, even if you run out of battery, the 45 Watt fast charging feature should fully juice up the Note 10 in under 30 minutes.

The Epic Note comes with an Epic camera

The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus brings in a lot of new camera improvements. Both the devices come with a 12MP dual-camera setup along with a third 16MP ultra-wide lens. There are several camera improvements worth mentioning such as the wider aperture on the telephoto lens. This should allow the camera to take better low-light photos. Also, Samsung has included a time-of-flight sensor on the Galaxy Note 10 Plus, which uses a tiny sensor to project an infrared light. This light measures the distance between the camera and subject helping to add better depth to portrait photos.

Both the Galaxy Note 10 devices support 4K video recording, with improved video stabilization. Samsung has also added a Zoom-in-Mic feature, which directs the microphone focus on the phone towards the subject to improve audio recording quality. If you prefer shooting documentaries or interviews on your mobile device, this feature should help a lot.

Other features added to the camera are its AR depth capabilities. Samsung says, the cameras are significantly better at scanning objects and will let you create your own unique videos. You can create GIFs, use the camera to create 3D images and even export them to a professional 3D rendering software.

S Pen defines the Note experience

The Galaxy Note series is really special because of its S Pen stylus. Last year, Samsung managed to put a low-energy Bluetooth antenna, which could perform various functions from 30 feet. This year, the S Pen gets even better. It does all the past tricks, such as snapping photos from a distance, jotting down notes and even controlling your music playback. However, the new one comes a bunch on new features such as Air actions which sounds interesting. You can wave the S Pen in air to control the camera zoom, switch to the selfie camera and even to change the camera mode. Another interesting feature is AR doodle which let you scribble over the real world, using the camera on the phone.

Samsung also claims the new S Pen to be even more accurate. They have enhanced the software to be more personalized which let you adjust S Pen’s ink colour, its thickness and even lets you save your favourite settings. Samsung wants to make using the S Pen as natural as putting pen to paper. Samsung has also improved handwriting to the text recognition significantly. You can simply jot down your thoughts in your handwriting and the S Pen software instantly convert them into editable text, even in the popular Microsoft Word format.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus definitely offers the best features in a smartphone. They are the right, premium device for any user and more specifically, power users.
