Reconnect has joined hands with Rapoo and launched a wireless speaker. Rapoo is a brand known for products like wireless mice, wireless keyboards, wireless headsets, etc. Reconnect has just launched the dynamic and attractive TS BT-S-RP speaker in the Indian market.
Design and Build
The Reconnect TS BT-S-RP is a small speaker. It is heavy due to the metal frame which wraps most of the speaker. It is like a solid aluminium block which consists of three buttons on the top. The centre button is for turning on Bluetooth, which lets you connect your devices to the speaker. The other two buttons on the top are for controlling the volume. On the back of the speaker is the power switch, micro USB for charging and a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack. There is also a microphone on the back which is for receiving the call.
Features
The Reconnect TS BT-S-RP is a palm-sized speaker has built-in NFC. This feature lets you connect smartphones to the speaker with a single tap. Two devices can be connected to the speaker at a time. The speaker can run continuously for up to 10 hours after 3 hours of charging as claimed by the manufacturer. It has Bluetooth 4.0 which can be connected to many devices like smartphones, tablets or PC for high quality sound and to receive voice calls through the speaker. The speaker can be used in both modes, wired or wireless modes. We can connect two devices to the speaker at the same time using Bluetooth and auxiliary cable. The Reconnect TS BT-S-RP is a very handy speaker which can be used in parties and family functions. Using the speaker is really simple.
Performance
The Reconnect TS BT-S-RP has the best sound quality in comparison to other similar sized speakers. We played various songs like Sorry by Justin Bieber, Right Na Na by Akon, Turn Down for What by DJ Snake and Lil John and many more songs from other genres. The song ‘Sorry’ has decent bass in it. The song ‘Turn Down for What’ by DJ Snake and Lil John has good mids in it, which we could hear pretty well. The song Right Na Na has parts of it which have great highs, which the speaker handles well. Different genres emphasize on different ranges of the frequency bands. The volume of the speaker is pretty loud, in comparison to other speakers of its size. It has balanced sound with the right amount of bass, mid and treble. You can play music for hours and the long battery life lets you do that. If someone want to host a small party for a group of friends, or for a family get together or if you are going out on a picnic, this a good option to consider. The Bluetooth connection to this speaker is quick. The speaker performed perfectly at a distance of 25ft using Bluetooth. NFC takes a second or two for the speaker to connect. We tried making phone calls through the speaker, and the voice was audible and clear.
Verdict
The Reconnect TS BT-S-RP is priced at Rs. 6,899* and is worth every penny. The speaker is handy, stylish, built well and it’s portable. The sound quality isn’t perfect but it’s still very good. Unique features such as NFC and its rugged design make it perfect as a gift, or for a speaker that could use while travelling or even for a small home party.
