A powerful but portable gaming laptop has always been every gamer’s dream. Their Zephyrus G14 laptops have achieved those, giving gamers everything they’ve asked for – a durable yet slim chassis to powerful internals matched with an outstanding display. Its design language was subtle than the rest, making it suitable for workplaces or just gaming. Asus is now perfecting things even further with the launch of its successor, the Zephyrus G15. This laptop aims to eliminate any leftover criticisms from gamers. Here’s the result.

The Zephyrus G15 laptops are the first in the country to house AMD’s 6000 series processors. Its entry-range model runs the AMD Ryzen 6800HS CPU, a 6nm processor that ensures low power consumption, while generating less heat and delivering a consistent performance. This combination is rare on compact devices. The CPU is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU for a smooth and powerful gaming performance. Since this model isn’t as expensive as you might think, it is also ideal for content creators looking for a portable editing machine.

The top-tier variant of the Zephyrus G15 comes with AMD’s Ryzen 6900HS CPUs. This is an 8-core processor delivering maximum speeds of up to 4.9 GHz. It is one of the fast CPUs available on portable computers, which means it runs demanding applications and games. This model also comes with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU, so you get cutting-edge graphics performance too. If you are planning to play the latest titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Overwatch 2, Gotham Knights, and Elden Ring, this laptop should be on your wishlist.

These laptops even support the MUX Switch feature to take graphics performance a notch up. Traditional gaming laptops with dedicated GPUs route frames through the CPU’s integrated graphics before reaching the display. With the MUX Switch, a GPU can directly render frames to the display, reducing latency. These laptops sport 16 GB of DDR5 RAM. Both models ship with 1TB M.2 NVMe SSDs, so your storage needs are taken care of. Asus has also included an additional M.2 slot, so you can expand the storage in the future.

To keep the CPU cool under heavy usage, Asus uses a liquid metal compound with a self-cleaning thermal Module. Asus says this automatically clears the dust and improves long-term stability. The laptop also houses 84-blade ARC Flow fans to create a powerful airflow without being noisy. Asus provides multiple cooling profiles, and you can even create customized ones using the ROG Armoury Crate app.

The Asus Zephyrus G15 has one of the most impressive displays on a gaming laptop. It’s a 15.6-inch QHD (2,560 x 1,400) screen offering a 240 Hz refresh rate, making it ideal for gamers wanting to experience higher FPS gaming. A higher refresh rate screen benefits games and also makes the user interface smooth. Since it supports Adaptive-Sync technology, the display automatically adjusts the refresh rate depending on the content while preserving battery.

The display also meets the 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut, so it is also ideal for content creators working on apps like Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Lightroom. Its absolute perfect picture quality and support for Dolby Vision HDR make the device perfect for content binging.

The Asus Zephyrus comes in two colours – Moonlight White and Eclipse Grey. Both models come with CNC milled Dot Matrix designs so they show off a subtle shimmering effect. The laptop uses a metallic chassis, so it is as durable and portable as before. The Asus ErgoLift hinge is now stronger than before and allows you to flip the screen up to 180 degrees.

Asus has also introduced a new Stealth Keyboard that offers a desktop-inspired layout. It has four dedicated buttons for volume, microphone mute and accessing Asus ROG Armoury Crate software. The keys now claim stay under the 30dB noise limit, so you can play, chat or take notes without disturbing anyone around. Asus has also updated the trackpad, which is now 20 per cent larger than the previous generation model. More space means comfortable hand movements and fewer swipes while scrolling through webpages, images and large spreadsheets.

Despite its compact profile, the laptop has all the essential modern-day ports. For external keyboard and mouse connectivity, it has two USB 3.2 Type-A ports. There is also a pair of USB Type-C ports for fast data transfers. These ports can be also used for connecting external displays and charging the device. You will also find an HDMI port and a LAN port on the right side of the device. On the wireless front, the device has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 support. The laptop also comes with an HD web camera this year which was missing from the predecessor.

Asus has also significantly improved things on the audio side. The laptop now has a 6-speaker setup, powered by Dolby Atmos technology. Asus says the combination of tweeters and woofers allows the laptop to deliver crisp and loud audio for better gaming and content-binging experience. Updated audio inputs also aim to make streams and voice chats clearer. Asus says the 3D mic array captures a broad soundscape and can be optimised for recording music or hosting conference calls.

The Asus Zephyrus G15 is a modest-looking gaming machine with pure performance under its hood. The powerful internals are clubbed with an excellent quality display, making it the perfect laptop for gamers, creators and even office goers. The entry-range model of the laptop is priced at Rs. 1,50,990*, and all models are available at www.reliancedigital.in.
