Finding a laptop that meets every need is a difficult task. Entry-level laptops often lack quality and performance, while high-end models cost a lot. Asus’s VivoBook series laptops excel in this area. VivoBook laptops tend to be powerful and they have premium designs. The all-new VivoBook S15 comes with some of the most powerful processors of the year.

The laptops now come with Intel’s 11th generation processors with huge performance improvements. The most affordable S15 (EJ311TS) runs an Intel Core i3-1115G4 CPU, 4GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. These specs are ideal for everyday software such as Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Chrome.

The mid-spec variant (EJ511TS) has an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, capable of handling high-end software with ease. Its 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD makes for fast boot-ups. There is also a 1TB hard drive for storing large files. The device also comes with Intel Xe graphics that that is significantly faster than traditional integrated graphics solutions. The higher-spec variant (EJ512TS) of the VivoBook S15 is for users who want a little more out of their graphics solution. It comes with an NVIDIA GeForce MX330 graphics card that is ideal for image, video and 3D modelling software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Autodesk 3D Max and Sketchup.

The Asus VivoBook S15 runs a 15.6-inch full HD display, similar to its predecessor. Asus says the IPS display renders accurate colours and wide viewing angles. It is ideal for colour correction work, playing games and watching movies. Asus’s NanoEdge designs include a nearly edgeless screen. It’s also anti-glare treated to reduce reflections. Asus says the display produces 250 nits of brightness, which should provide good outdoor visibility.

Making a 15-inch laptop that weighs less than 2 kg is no easy feat. The Asus VivoBook S15 weighs 1.6 kg, and it is just 1.8cm in thickness, making it one of the most portable large-screen laptops. Its design allows you to easily fit the device in a backpack or a briefcase while travelling. The laptop’s aluminium chassis improves durability, and also protects the device against minor bumps. Asus says the laptop’s edges are crafted using a diamond-cut process for a more premium look. The VivoBook S15 is available in four shades – Gaia Green, Resolute Red, Indie Black, and Dreamy White.

The Asus VivoBook S15 has all the ports you would expect from a modern-day laptop. It has a Thunderbolt 4 port for transferring data quickly, and it also doubles up as a charging port. It also supports Microsoft Precision Touch that’s noticeably better than traditional trackpads. It’s more accurate and therefore, less prone to mistakes while using multi-finger gestures.
