The mark of a flagship device was being able to run high-end games and capture great photos, but not anymore. The mid-range mobile segment has significantly emerged in the last few years, offering near-flagship performance but at affordable prices. The newest offering in this segment is the Realme X7 Max, and it promises to elevate expectations from a mid-range phone to a whole new level.

The Realme X7 Max is the first device in the country to run the latest MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. The 6nm processor is 25 per cent more energy-efficient and it offers roughly 22 per cent more performance than the Dimensity 1000 CPU. The 8-core processor can achieve max speeds up to 3 GHz, which means a flawless app-running experience.

The CPU’s sheer performance with the ARM G77 MC9 GPU should let you play high-end games such as Minecraft, Fortnite, Call of Duty: Mobile, and Genshin Impact at high graphic settings. To keep the phone cool under heavy gaming, it has a new Vapour Cooling System that uses a combination of copper and steel pipes for heat dissipation. There are completely unrelated improvements as well, such as its linear motor Tactile Engine that improves vibration feedback.

The X7 Max is also the first mid-range device to run 12GB of RAM. More RAM means the phone can handle more apps in the background, so you can easily switch between them. There is also 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, so you can launch apps and transfer data in a fraction of a second. The Realme X7 Max is a dual-SIM 5G device. This ensures you can use 5G networks as they become available. There is also Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), that uses less power and offers strong wireless connectivity. It’s also the latest mainstream Wi-Fi standard, which is slowly making its way to other devices.

The Realme X7 Max has a 6.43-inch full HD display. It uses a Super AMOLED panel, so you can experience deeper blacks and contrast. There is also 100 per cent DCI-P3 wide colour gamut support for natural-looking colours. With its 120Hz refresh rate screen, users can experience smoother scrolls while using the phone or gaming. Gamers will also appreciate the display’s 360Hz touch sampling rate that ensures every touch gets a quick and accurate response. The screen also goes up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The phone also has Dual Ambient sensors for smart and accurate brightness adjustments.

The Realme X7 Max has a combination of glossy and matte design that instantly stands out. The phone is available in Asteroid Black, Mercury Silver and Milky Way colours. The device has tapered edges, so it is comfortable to hold. It also helps that it weighs just 179 grams. The front comes with a Dragontail Glass for protection against scratches. The screen also houses an in-display fingerprint reader so you can easily unlock the device without using complex key presses.

The Realme X7 Max has a triple camera setup for photography. The primary 64MP camera uses the Sony IMX682 sensor and it supports Realme’s Night, Expert, Portrait, and Panoramic View modes. The camera also supports OIS and can record 4K videos up to 60 fps. The secondary 8MP camera offers a 119-degrees field of view, so you can effortlessly click wide landscapes. The list of rear cameras ends with a 2MP macro unit, that lets you do close-up photography. The X7 Max’s 16MP front camera ensures you can click wide and clear selfies.

The X7 Max runs on Realme UI 2.0 over Android 11. The new Mini Windows feature lets you use multiple apps with ease. You can now change icons colour, size and even create themes for a more personalized experience. There is a new Quick Share button in the camera UI for quickly sharing photos on social media. Realme has also introduced a Dual Audio feature that lets you listen to music from wired earphones and Bluetooth earphones at once.

The Realme X7 Max runs a 4,400 mAh battery that promises days of battery life even under heavy usage. The phone ships with a 50W fast charge, and Realme claims it can charge the phone from 0 to 50 per cent in 16 minutes. The phone also supports 2.5W reverse charging, which means the device can wirelessly charge compatible phones and audio devices.

The Realme X7 Max impresses at every junction. It has all the power you need; it has great cameras and a flagship design that makes it among the best mid-range devices around. Prices starting from Rs. 26,999, the phone can be pre-ordered from www.reliancedigital.in and from your nearest Reliance Digital store.
