VivoBook laptops are known for the perfect blend of design and features. However, the recent VivoBook’s plastic chassis construction didn’t play well with their premium design, so this year, Asus has decided to give VivoBook laptops a huge update. The new Vivobooks now come all-metal chassis, and Asus has also managed to make them significantly slimmer and lighter.

The Dreamy White and Slate Grey provide a sophisticated look while the unique Peacock Blue model changes colour when you look at it from different angles.

The Asus VivoBook S14 comes with a 14-inch full HD display that runs a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080. The display comes with 100 per cent sRGB support, helping it renders accurate colours. If you are into photo and video editing, this display is going to be perfect for you. The display also features Asus’s Nano Edge design, that provides an 85 per cent, screen-to-body ratio. The edge-less display design neatly blends with the laptop’s ultra-portable nature. Asus claims, the screen provides 178 degrees viewing angle provides clear screen visibility from different angles. The display’s is rated for 250 nits, so the brightness provides clarity in bright-lit rooms and the screen also has an anti-reflective coating to reduce glare. 

The Asus VivoBook 14 is available in two configurations. The entry-spec variant runs an Intel Core i5-10210U. The top-spec variant comes with a more powerful Intel Core i7-10510U processor that promises blazing-fast processing speeds. Both models come with 8GB of RAM and 512GB SSDs as standard. The laptop also has an additional M.2 NVMe slot for SSD storage expansion. The Asus VivoBook S14 comes with the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics card to ensure smooth graphic performance. The device should easily handle graphic processing tasks such as watching movies and editing videos. It might not be great for playing AAA games, but it can still handle less-demanding titles such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2. This laptop should also run image and 3D modelling software such as Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Maya on medium-sized projects.

The laptop sports Bluetooth 5.0 that offers significantly faster speeds and wider coverage than previous generations of Bluetooth. The device also has a microSD card slot and an auxiliary port to connect wired headphones.

The device has a 50Wh battery, and Asus claims the laptop delivers up 7 hours of battery life. The laptop supports fast charging and it ships with a 65W adaptor.
