Samsung A70s – A whole lot of Awesome!

When you’re in the search for a new smartphone, there are few things to consider. Today, as technology has evolved and successfully resulted in faster processors with greater power efficiency, they no longer form the major part of the decision. You almost always will land up with a well performing device. Multiple camera setups are the talk of the town though, and while every manufacturer is offering a solution, reliability and performance can sometimes be a question mark. That’s not the case with Samsung’s all-new A70s. If you’re looking for a premium smartphone with features most in demand today, but want a balanced product with solid pricing, you’ll want to know more about the A70s.
Performance comes courtesy of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675, a new octa-core processor built for gaming, handling the multiple cameras with AI capability. That should take care of everything you run on your phone, whether it be apps, online movie streaming services, video calling or gaming. It’s as simple as that.

The fun part is really in the camera setup. This is a triple camera phone that lets you do several things. The primary camera has more punch than you might get on other phones. It’s a 64MP sensor camera with an aperture of F/1.8 which is ideal for clicking photos in low lighting. The resolution is also handy if you want to take large printouts of the photos captured, or even to better crop and resize them. You get a lot of image to work with. The resolution helps in zooming into photos but that’s not all!
There is also an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, which is a very nifty thing to have. It’s best used in places where there are narrow passages, like alley ways or when you’re outdoors and you want to capture the beach or a hill top. It really does capture a lot of area in a single photo. It’s also the camera you want when you want to shoot group photos with, without leaving anyone out. The last camera, the 5MP depth sensor is what adds the soft, blurriness we all know as depth of field. This is what gives professional photographers the edge, on their DSLR cameras. That depth-of-field magic is now part of smartphones such as this Samsung A70s.

The front-facing camera hasn’t been ignored; it’s been taken to the next level. It’s placed on the edge of the screen, and it’s a massive 32MP shooter. Together with the sensors of the cameras, the lenses and the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, the A70s does wonders with the photos and videos you shoot. The night mode is particularly handy where you would normally use the flash. You won’t end up with blurry, dull photos anymore. There is also a Super steady video mode that stabilizes video footage, so it doesn’t look as jittery as most handheld cameras and smartphones.
All the magic of the cameras and the content comes together on the gorgeous 6.7-inch sAMOLED screen. It’s a Full HD+ display that has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The sAMOLED technology gives it the edge over other phones. AMOLED displays tend to have superior contrast ratios and saturated colours, so you see brighter whites and darker blacks. Most phones that don’t use AMOLEDs tend to suffer from very grey, low-contrast, dull-looking images. The edge-to-edge screen means the fingerprint scanner isn’t at the bottom anymore; it’s in the screen itself. It’s just as fast as any other dedicated scanner, but it’s more convenient. Simply touch your finger to the screen and it unlocks.
Another feature that helps the Samsung A70s stand out from the crowd is its massive 4,500mAh battery. It helps the device power on endlessly, without having to recharge. When you can’t escape a recharge, there is a powerful 25W Super fast charging feature that lets you get it to full power in no time at all. This is truly the stuff of smartphones, one couldn’t imagine just a couple of years ago.

As always with Samsung phones, the A70s has simple but elegant colours to choose from – Black, White and Red. The other variants you can expect are models with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. These come with 128GB and 256GB of storage, respectively. Unlike other phones in this price range, there is also a microSD card slot. This means, you can even add a massive 512GB microSD card to the mix, extending the storage even further. Try and imagine the amount of content you can carry on your phone. That was once possible only on portable hard drives recently. Now, you can your entire collection of movies, TV shows, photos, games and apps without having to worry about clogging up your phone’s storage.
The Samsung A70s is a great phone for several reasons. It’s a daily driver that won’t need to be charged all the time. You can click great photos and videos on it, while gaming and using a bunch of apps. It’s a long-term investment too, and the price you pay is well worth it.
