Lenovo says the laptop passes 9-military-grade durability tests and is dust and temperature-resistant. The laptop also surprises with its colour scheme. Unlike ThinkPad Carbon laptops that come in black, the Yoga 7i Carbon is fully white. Its Moon White colour is applied to the keyboard, giving it a unique look. It comes with an anti-fingerprint finish that prevents smudges and helps to keep the device clean.

The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon has a strong hinge to prevent the display from wobbling. You can open the display lid with one finger up to a 180-degrees angle. The 13.3-inch display also impresses with its top-notch picture quality. It runs a QHD resolution at 2560 x 1600, paired with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This makes it perfect for streaming Netflix, playing games, and writing documents. The 100 per cent sRGB compliance also makes the device ideal for colour correction work. The TUV Rheinland-certified display also keeps harmful blue light in check.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is a powerful machine. It comes with an Intel Core i7-1165G7, a 11th generation CPU that offers max speeds of up to 4.70GHz. The processor can easily handle high-end applications with ease. It is also an EVO certified CPU that offers the perfect combination of performance and battery life. The device also comes with an Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics solution. It can handle photo and video editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro. The laptop has 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for storage.

The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with three Thunderbolt 4 ports, of which one supports power delivery. These ports let you connect up to two 4K monitors or one 8K monitor. The trackpad below the keyboard is also large and made of frosted glass. It helps fingers glide easily across it, while also keeping smudges away. It provides a tactile feedback to simulate click functions of dedicated buttons. Additionally, the trackpad also supports Microsoft Precision drives which makes multitasking easy and smooth.  

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon runs on Windows 10 Home OS. It comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office Home 2019 Home and Student. The laptop also comes with Lenovo’s Smart Assist app that offers features such as hands-free login with the IR camera. It can also shift content from the display to a connected monitor with just a turn of your head with the Mirametrix motion-tracking feature. The software also automatically optimises power settings to improve the laptop’s performance.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon houses a 50Wh battery. The device ships come with a compact 65 Watt power adapter with fast charging support. Lenovo claims the lithium polymer battery retains up to 80 per cent of its charge capacity, even after 800 charge cycles.
