The race to get a PS5 was surreal. The dust has settled and many of us have managed to get our own. Gaming consoles typically launch with a couple of titles for early adopters. Gamers usually must wait a year or more before the floodgates open. Fortunately, the number of games for the PS5 is already impressive. If you’re wondering which ones you should get, here is a list of some of the best.

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart takes you on a new multidimensional trip. Luckily, Ratchet is not alone as the game debuts a new character called Rivet. You will be using the pairs’ powers to stop the interdimensional war. There are lots of classic weapons from the past, as well as an arsenal of futuristic ones. Try out different combinations of both to take out your enemies. With technologies such as Ray Tracing, this is one of the prettiest looking games on the PS5. This PS5 exclusive game also shows the DualSense controller capabilities. You can feel in-game moments, explosions through haptic feedback and Adaptive Triggers.

Returnal

If you love sci-fi games, Returnal should be yours. You play Selene, an astronaut who crash-lands on the alien plant, Atropos. Stuck in a time loop, things get weird the moment she steps out of her spaceship. You need to look for audio logs and clues left by the previous versions of Selene. You will be fighting off strange creatures while exploring the bizarre planet. There are lots of weapons to choose from, each with a variety of traits. You can use in-game currency to upgrade spacesuits, weapons and unlock special abilities. The DualSense controllers further elevate the gameplay as you can feel raindrops, footsteps and all the in-game action at your fingertips.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a game designed for every age group. You aim to save the Craftword from an evil monster called Vex. The co-op game lets you play with up to three friends to hunt for coins and other collectables. There are 7 stages, along with side levels, races including post-game levels for hunting rare items. The game is full of surprises as you ride air bubbles, take deep-sea elevators and skate on snow to dodge enemies. There are lots of cool power-ups such as the boomerang and sling-gun to knock off enemies and obstacles. This is surely one of the most fun-to-play games on the PlayStation 5.

Demon Souls

Demon Souls is a classic PlayStation hit. The game has been reworked for the PlayStation 5 to introduce a whole new level of graphics. You spawn in the northern kingdom of Boletaria, a place full of demonic souls. The game has 5 levels, each with its own difficult challenges. Completing challenges amps up your powers and also gives the character special abilities. You need to perfect your combat skills and make tactical moves to save collected items and souls. There is also a multiplayer mode so you can fight against demons with your friends.

Spiderman: Miles Morale

Peter Parker has always been New York’s saviour, and it looks like he has a recruit. Miles Morales is the newest Spiderman of the Marvel universe, who teams up with Peter against the Roxxon corporation. Miles has similar powers to Peter, but his bio-electric attacks make him different from his mentor. You can upgrade suits, gadgets and skills as you make progress. There are also tons of side missions that add to the fun. This is one of PlayStation 5’s launch titles that shows off stunning graphics and fast loading times. You can feel every punch, slingshot and crinkle of electricity with the DualSense controller.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy is another exciting game from the Marvel franchise. It is a single-player story game where you play as Star Lord. We are expecting lots of action, space exploration, of course, with humour. The trailer reveals huge alien monsters and interplanetary wars. You will be using high-tech weapons, jet-powered suits, and advanced fighter spaceships. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on 26th October 2021, but you can pre-order it right now.

Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 brings modern weaponry from Battlefield 3 and 4, but with a futuristic touch. The trailer reveals advanced tanks, fighter jets, helicopters, and even fast-moving buggies during a chaotic war. For the first time in the Battlefield’s history, 128 players can fight at the same time. This makes the massive war even more unpredictable. There is a new Hazard Zone along with Battlefield’s classic multiplayer modes. Players face dynamic weather and even dust storms which will make the gameplay even more challenging. Battlefield 2042 will be available on 22nd October 2021, and you can pre-order it right now.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is the latest instalment of the Far Cry series. You play as Dani Rojas, a local guerrilla fighter wanting to liberate the Caribbean country of Yara. Your fight is against Anton Castillo, a dictator trying to restore Yara’s glory in all ways possible. The trailer reveals realistic graphics that adds more weight to the anticipation. There are loads of makeshift weapons and vehicles to help your journey against the tyrant. There will be a co-op mode in Far Cry 6, so you can play alongside a friend. Far Cry 6 will be available on 7th October 2021.
