The MacBook Pro is one of those Apple products that doesn’t get an update every year. But, when it does, Apple ensures it’s a big change. Apple recently launched the 2023 MacBook Pro 14 and 16-inch models and they bring substantial changes. These devices are said to be more powerful than before, making them ideal for heavy work. The new MacBook Pro also boasts of improvements on the gaming side, which previous models didn’t.

The new MacBook Pro also introduces three new chipsets – the M3, the M3 Pro and the M3 Max. Apple says the new chipsets are built on a next-generation 3-nanometer architecture, making them way faster and more efficient. These chipsets are also the first to support Dynamic Caching. Apple claims that this feature accelerates GPU utilisation, increasing performance in intensive games and software.

Another major change is the support for Ray Tracing, which will now make games look more realistic on the MacBook. You can now experience more accurate light reflections and shadows while playing games. Apple says the M3 chips deliver 2.5 times more GPU performance than the M1 chips while using half the power. This means they can now run high-end apps like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects while also handling some AAA games.

The M3 supports up to 24 GB of unified memory while the M3 Pro offers up to 36 GB of unified memory. The M3 Max is the most powerful, with up to 128 GB of unified memory. The 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 Max chip also have a dedicated High Power mode designed for intensive, sustained workloads.

The new MacBook Pro line-up also improves battery life. The battery life of all models is claimed to be up to 22 hours under everyday use. The 14-inch MacBook Pro models can fast-charge with a 96W USB-C power adapter while the M3 Pro and Max models ship with one, while the M3 model ships with a 70W adapter. The 16-inch MacBook Pro models can fast charge with the included 140W USB-C power adapter.

The MacBook Pro 2023 comes with a Liquid Retina XDR display using a Mini-LED panel. The 16.2-inch model has a screen resolution of 3,456 x 2,234 while the 14-inch model features a resolution of 3,024 x 1,964. Both models claim to offer 1,600 nits of peak brightness. In addition, the display supports 1 billion colours, so you can expect true-to-life colours on your screen. The display also continues to carry the True Tone feature from previous MacBooks, a feature that automatically adjusts the screen’s colour tone to the ambient lighting.

With the ProMotion technology, the MacBook Pro models support adaptive refresh rates of 24 Hz to 120 Hz. This means the device can automatically adjust its refresh rate to the content, while also reducing battery consumption. This make new MacBook Pro a great work and play machine.

Apple MacBook Pro 2023 models are very similar to their predecessors, offering an aluminium body with a curved bottom. They come in Silver, Space Grey and Black Aluminium colour options. As before, the laptop build is extremely thin and lightweight. The 14-inch model is just 1.5 cm thick and weighs 1.55 kg. The 16-inch model is 1.68 cm thickness and weighs 2.14 kg. Both laptops offer solid build quality, so you can carry them around without any issues.

The 2023 MacBook Pro features the same, all-black keyboard used in last generation models. All keys are backlit and adjust based on the room lighting thanks to an ambient light sensor. The Force Touch trackpad is also as large as before and provides tactile feedback with its Taptic Engine.

The MacBook Pro 2023 comes with a range of ports. It includes a UHS-II SDXC card slot, an HDMI 2.1 port supporting a 4K or an 8K display up to 60Hz. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 chip comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, while all other models include three Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The new MacBook Pro models are definitely a great choice for power users. They are way faster than before so you get all the high-end performance on the go. The Mini-LED panels along with the unmatched quality of the MacBooks makes them the best slim yet powerful laptops out there. The MacBook Pro 2023 models are now available at www.reliancedigital.in.
