Explore the latest-gen Apple MacBook Pro laptops at Reliance Digital

The Apple MacBook Pro has been a one-stop computing solution for power users for nearly a decade now. They have a reputation for being slim, portable and rock-solid performance that even full-fledged PCs couldn’t match. Things got even better in 2020, after the launch of the M1, Apple’s first-ever, self-developed chipset. This silicon was insanely powerful than the competition and handled heavy workloads without breaking a sweat.

It’s been nearly two years since the launch of the M1, and everyone has been anticipating its successor to make a laptop upgrade. Luckily, that wait is over. Apple at WWDC 2022 unveiled the M2 chipset that now powers the new MacBook Pro alongside MacBook Air 2022 devices. With it, the MacBook Pro now brings more power to the table, but with a significantly reduced power appetite. Here are all the models available at Reliance Digital.

Apple MacBook Pro M1

The M1 was Apple’s most powerful CPU, but loses its position to the new M1 Pro and M1 Pro Max processors. These chipsets include 8 high-performance cores along with 2 power-efficiency cores that maintain the balance of power and battery life. Apple says they are nearly 70 per cent faster than the M1, meaning the MacBook can now handle even heavier workloads. Thanks to the efficiency of the chips, the new MacBook Pros can deliver consistent performance even when the charger isn’t plugged in. Both CPUs also generate far less heat than the predecessor, allowing a cooler and quieter operation.

It’s the GPU performance that sets apart the Pro and Pro Max CPUs. The M1 Pro chip has a 16-core GPU, offering twice more performance than the M1. The Pro Max’s 32-core GPU is four times faster, bringing an incredible graphics performance leap. Both CPUs also support the new Media Engine that accelerates video rendering performance while taking care of the battery life. These chipsets also have a 16-core Neural Engine for handling machine learning tasks.

The MacBook Pro 2021 maintains its simplistic looks but it now sports curved edges. Both the 14-inch and 16-inch models have nearly the same dimension as their predecessors. They use a unibody aluminium construction that provides a lightweight profile along with durability. Apple continues to offer the MacBook Pro Silver and Space colours. However, the new models now come with an all-black keyboard creating a dual-tone colour scheme.

Apple MacBook Pro M2 2022

The Apple MacBook Pro 2022 looks very similar to the last year’s Pro models, and we aren’t complaining. It’s impressively thin and light which makes carrying it around easy. Like its predecessor, the laptop’s chassis is entirely made of aluminium, so it barely flexes. Apple continues to offer MacBook Pro 2022 in Space Grey and Silver colours.

The MacBook Pro 13-inch also comes with the OLED touch bar that runs along the top of the keyboard. It gives quick access to settings and shortcuts to function depending on what apps you use. For example, in Safari, the Touch ID shows you favourite websites when you have an empty tab. You can even switch tabs using the touch bar. It also lets you control layers and tools on apps like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

The new MacBook Pro 2022 comes with a 13-inch Retina display offering a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px. It supports the P3 colour gamut, an essential feature for digital content creators. The screen offers a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it taller than most wide-screen laptops. A taller screen comes in handy as you can go through lengthy codes or spreadsheets without much scrolling. The MacBook Pro also supports the Apple True Tone feature that automatically adjusts the white balance to the ambient lighting for a natural content viewing experience.

Reliance Digital is the best place to buy Apple MacBook Pro laptops at the best price.
