Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series phones have always stood out from the mid-range competition. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is a 6.67-inch smartphone with narrow bezels. Like flagship smartphones, it boasts of an OLED screen, with 1 billion colours support. Xiaomi says the display also supports PWM dimming technology, which can adjusts brightness levels accurately to ambient light conditions.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ looks like a premium device with its glass construction, its aluminium frame that houses the fingerprint sensor. This arrangement makes unlocking the Note 12 Pro+ easy and comfortable. The Note 12 Pro+ is also IP53, dust and splash-resistant, improving its overall durability. The phone is available in black, blue and white, in a matte finish that keeps fingerprints away. The device weighs 204 grams, which is impressive for a large-screen device. The phone runs the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 CPU, one of the fastest mid-range CPUs. The phone comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and the bundled 67W fast charger that claims a 0 to 100 per cent charge in just 19 minutes.

Smartphones have quickly gone from 108MP to 200MP, and the Note 12 Pro+ is the first and most affordable one to offer it. It uses a 200MP Samsung ISOcell sensor and a lens with an aperture of f/1.7. This camera claims to capture colour-accurate shots with a high level of detail. It also supports video recording up to 4K resolutions, making the device perfect for aspiring videographers. Since OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is onboard, you can comfortably record smooth and shake-free videos. For wide-angle shots, the phone has an 8 MP camera offering a 119-degree field of view. There is also a 2 MP camera for close-up shots. For selfies, the Note 12 Pro+ comes with a 16 MP camera that supports full HD recording up to 60 fps.

Like most other Xiaomi devices, the Note 12 Pro+ also offers all the modern connectivity features. To begin, it’s a dual-SIM 5G device that will enable superfast download speeds. There is also Wi-Fi 6 onboard for a seamless wireless connection. The device also meets the latest Bluetooth 5.2 standard for a crisp and clear wireless audio listening experience. The phone also supports NFC for quick pairing and transactions. The device also includes an IR blaster, which allows you to control everything from TVs to ACs. Xiaomi has also included a 3.5 mm jack, a rare feature on modern-day smartphones.
