What’s making the Oppo A5 such a popular phone?

A market as large as the mobile market in India means very few devices stand out in the noise. Oppo’s A5 seems to have broken through and suddenly has a lot of people considering it. If you are wondering what makes the Oppo A5 phone so popular and enticing, you’ve come to the right place. It’s priced really well to start with, at just under Rs. 15,000. If you’re here early, you might even find some interesting offers around it that can make the deal even sweeter. Simple order it online from us, or head over to our stores. If you aren’t convinced why you might like one, here are a few reasons on why you should put the money down on the all-new Oppo A5!
The Oppo A5 is a good looking device with really bold colours. It comes in two colours, Diamond Blue and Diamond Red. The design itself is something different and it’s likely to attract a lot of attention. This is a phone that offers the all-popular notch design with a very thin chin at the bottom. This design means that you get much more screen space than usual – larger apps, more space for viewing movies and shows, easier gaming and more. It’s a very massive 6.2-inch display in a format that isn’t a lot larger than most phones. The resolution is more than you might expect on other phones too, 1520 x 720 pixels. Oppo claims the phone can handle 10 finger touches at once. While that’s overkill and you’ll never need to do that, it means you will have not have issues playing games like PUBG and Fortnite.
The phone gets powered by a really large 4230mAh battery which means it should last much longer than other devices, through a day and more. More gaming, more music and watching movies on the go without ever having to worry about battery drain. The performance isn’t extraordinary but it’s a lot for the price, like most of the phone’s features. It runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, a modern 14nm octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The memory onboard the phone is a healthy 4GB, like what you might expect from a slightly more expensive device. The phone comes with 32GB of internal storage which is a lot, and you can also expand it to 256GB using a microSD card.
The camera is a major consideration for most of us when we buy a new device. The A5 has a dual-camera setup at the back, so you can take great portrait photographs with that professional depth-of-field look. The resolution of the rear-facing primary camera is 13MP while the other is 2MP. The front-facing camera that should come handy for Snapchat, Instagram and clicking selfies uses an 8MP sensor. The hardware isn’t the only thing primed for photography, the software AI Beauty 2.0 works wonders to get you perfect photographs. The front-facing camera is also responsible for unlocking the device in a moment, well before you have time to type in a passkey or swipe in a pattern.
Oppo A5 runs Android 8.x (Oreo) with their own interface called ColorOS 5.1 on top. Like the rest of the phone, it too is colourful and bold and has a bunch of features. Possibly the best feature of the lot is something called Dance Party. This lets friends connect to your phone’s WiFi hotspot and stream the same music you’re listening to. This should be particularly fun when you’re out with family and friends on a picnic or party.
What makes the Oppo A5 so special is the price that it’s being offered at. If you’re into watching movies and TV shows, gaming or even photography, or just want a device to use every day, the Oppo A5 should fit your needs. Curious and want to know more?
