Vivo V series smartphones are winners in their class due to their premium designs and cutting-edge features. The recently launched Vivo V20 and V20 SE are some of the most popular mid-range smartphones around, and Vivo is now expanding its V-series lineup by launching the Vivo V20 Pro 5G. It’s aimed to be an upper mid-range smartphone with features seen on flagship devices. The phone’s camera configuration is very similar to Vivo’s high-tier devices, and it is also one of the first smartphones to sport Qualcomm’s latest mid-range processor.

The Vivo V20 Pro promises significant performance improvements over the Vivo V20 and V20 SE. The device runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor based on the new 7nm fabrication process. The new chipset uses Qualcomm’s X52 modem to offer future-ready 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Vivo claims the new processor reaches clock speeds of up to 2.4 GHz, and it also delivers 20 per cent better power efficiency than Qualcomm’s previous mid-range processors.

The Vivo V20 Pro is strong in its gaming performance. It uses the Adreno 620 GPU that lets it run high-tier games such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Asphalt 9: Airborne, Fortnite and Minecraft. The phone has a liquid cooling system to dissipate the processor’s heat during long gaming sessions. The device will also let you multitask seamlessly with its 8GB of RAM. It has 128GB of internal storage that is good enough for storing movies, photos, and large game data.

The Vivo V20 Pro’s cameras give the device its competitive edge. The device uses an 44MP front camera allowing you to record stable 4K videos. The front also comes with an 8MP wide-angle camera that offers 105 degrees field-of-view. It lets you capture more in a frame, which means you can easily click large group selfies. The front cameras also support a bunch of interesting features such as the Dual-View video mode. This is a handy feature for vloggers as it allows the user to appear in their videos alongside what they show their viewers. The camera also supports Vivo’s Eye Autofocus feature that tracks eye moment to keep you in focus even when you are moving.

The Vivo V20 Pro’s rear cameras are designed for professional photography. The device’s triple-camera setup comprises a 64MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP depth camera. The 8MP camera also doubles up as a macro camera letting you capture photos from as close as 2.5 cm from the subject. The rear cameras support premium features such as HDR, and they work together to offer up to 3X hybrid and 10X digital zoom. They also feature an updated Super Night Mode letting you capture photos in the dark. Vivo has also introduced a new Motion autofocus mode that locks onto a subject throughout the scene. This feature is handy while shooting kids or pets.

The Vivo V20 Pro looks a lot more premium than many flagship devices. It comes with an all-glass design, and it uses an aluminium frame for durability. The device weighs 170 grams, and it is just 7.39mm thin. This makes the Vivo V20 Pro one of the lightest and sleekest smartphones of 2020. The device is available in two colours. The Midnight Jazz has unique hues of black and white while the Sunset Melody offers more colourful shades. Both colours offer a matte finish, and Vivo claims they are treated with a special chemical etching process to protect the phone from scratches. The smartphone houses a massive 4,000 mAh battery despite its sleek design. The device also supports 33W fast charging and Vivo claims you can charge the phone from 0 to 65 per cent in just 30 minutes.

The Vivo V20 Pro offers a large 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display. The display runs a screen resolution of 2400 x 1080, and it offers a 20:9 screen aspect ratio which is perfect for watching movies and playing games. The phone’s AMOLED screen promises to render rich and vibrant colours. The device has no bezels, and it comes with a new notch design which looks cleaner than the large notched phones. The screen also houses an in-display fingerprint reader to unlock the device and purchase apps.

The V20 Pro runs Android 10 OS and Vivo has promised the Android 11 OS update in the coming weeks. The phone uses Vivo’s Funtouch OS 11 UI that offers a simple and sophisticated design. The icons are now smaller and rounder like the stock Android interface. The OS brings tons of new features such as S-Capture that lets you take screenshots and record the phone’s screen. The phone now also comes with a new iManager feature that shows your phone’s performance. Vivo has now also updated the Ultra Game Mode feature, and it now supports picture-in-picture that lets you launch messages or chat apps in a floating window mode while playing games.

The Vivo V20 Pro completes the V20 series line-up. The phone offers strong performance, future-ready connectivity along with flagship-class cameras. Priced at Rs. 29,990, the Vivo V20 Pro 5G is now available at www.reliancedigital.in and at your nearest Reliance Digital store.
