Truly wireless earphones (TWS) are a convenient solution to the entangled mess that wired earphones tend to be. Many of us buy TWS earphones because they are more affordable now, but there can be compromises we unknowingly make. The biggest ones are the reliability and more importantly, the sound quality. There are however experts in every field, and few brands understand audio as well as Sennheiser. So, when they decide to make a new pair of truly wireless earphones, we took note. This is the same brand that is known for their legendary HD 650, HD 700 and HD 800 headphones. The new Momentum True Wireless 2 are a new pair of truly wireless earphones made for audiophiles and music enthusiasts, but that is not all, they make claims few brands can beat.
Sennheiser has a history of making headphones and other sound solutions. The sheer experience of being in the field well before so many other brands gives them a big advantage. They claim the Momentum True Wireless 2 can offer impressive sound despite their compact design. They are designed to be ergonomic, so they are comfortable to wear them for hours. They are not meant for just desk work; you could be lazing in bed, or out for a jog and you will not have to worry about them popping out of your ears. They are even rated as IPX4, so they can withstand some amount of moisture and water splashing.

The Momentum True Wireless 2 are equipped with 7 mm drivers that are designed to render audio that is not biased towards any end of the sound spectrum. They sound neutral, with the right mix of bass, mids and highs. You get the option to tweak the sound if you need to use the equalizers onboard them. This is handy, if you are watching movies or playing games and want a little more bass than usual, a little more emphasis on the mids when watching a drama show, for example. On paper, the earbuds are rated to produce a frequency range between 5 and 21,000 Hz. They can also be used to take calls, and the microphones onboard support a range of 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz. They operate on the Bluetooth 5.1 standard.
Noise cancellation is important, and it is only seen on some TWS models. As a premium offering, the Momentum True Wireless 2 let you disconnect and isolate yourself from noisy situations using its active noise cancellation feature that ensures you get complete peace, whether you are listening to music or not. This is in addition to the passive noise cancellation feature that already helps block out noise with its great fit. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 come with replacement silicone ear adapters in four varied sizes too, so you do not need to worry about fitting either. Another feature called Transparent Hearing lets you keep the earphones plugged in, but still listen to things around you. This is useful, because you no longer must unplug them each time you need to have a conversation.
Truly wireless earphones have some issues, primarily the battery life. No one wants to keep charging their earphones every couple of hours. Thankfully, the Momentum True Wireless 2 has a 7-hour battery life, and the case enables you to take it further to 28 hours. You can very well be charging these earphones on the go, by simply placing them in the case.

Not everything is about the look and the performance. Turns out, there are a lot of clever things you can do with the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 plugged in. The surfaces of the earplugs are large, so you can make some basic gestures to control your phone. A tap can get you access sot your phone’s voice assistant, for example. The earbuds even pause the music the moment you unplug them from your earphones. You can rest knowing you will never miss a moment of your music or podcasting with them.
The earphones can be controlled and customized to a considerable extent using the Sennheiser Smart Control app for Android and iOS devices. You can choose to setup taps to pause, play, switch tracks and you can even choose which of the two earbuds you tap, to make the actions happen. The earbuds can be setup to accept an incoming call the moment you lift the right earbud from the case. The equalizer feature has a simple graphical look to adjust the settings.

The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 are among the best TWS you can find in the market. They cost a bit, but they’re well worth the money. Not only are they the recommended kind for music enthusiasts and gamers, they also make for excellent devices to use when you are taking long journeys or sitting hours in noisy environments. They are available in black, or in a combination of white and grey. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 are now available for purchase online at RelianceDigital.in and at your nearest Reliance Digital store.
