We start off with the design of the Reconnect RELEB4304. As soon as you unbox the TV, you notice that the rather large 43-inch display has slim bezels. Yes, the TV is not completely edgeless, but it looks like a higher priced model. The frame of the TV has a nice brush metal look to it and we especially love the chrome strip at the bottom which gives it a nice touch. Whether you are buying this TV for your living room or your bedroom, it just looks good no matter where you keep it. The device has no loose ends or squeaky sounds, so we are quite happy with its build quality. Setting up the TV is simple and Reconnect also provides a free wall-mounting bracket. In fact, you also get a free installation. In case you want to keep this TV on a table, it also ships with a stand.
We have used and tested a lot of Smart TVs in the past, but have rarely seen Android OS TV in this price range. Using an Android powered TV feels like using an Android smartphone. Navigating through the menus is simple and it takes couple of minutes to set up the TV. In fact, with the Android powered OS, you can do a lot more than you would have imagined. The Reconnect RELEB4304 comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. These specifications are solid for a TV as it lets you run most of your favourite apps. This TV lets you download and install third-party APKs while it comes with the pre-installed iRevo app. This gives you access to popular services such as Instagram, Facebook, Flickr, ESPN Cricinfo and more.
One of the things which makes the Reconnect RELEB4304 special, is the way it handles internet browsing. The pre-installed Dolphin browser is fast, and it becomes really intuitive when you connect a wireless keyboard and mouse to the TV using the USB ports. This is especially handy while typing large passwords and websites. It feels like using a PC, but on a grand 43-inch screen! You can also control the TV using your mobile phone by downloading the Wi-Fi remote app such as CetusPlay. In fact, this app also supports screen mirroring so you can stream photos and videos from your smartphone. Pretty cool, for a Rs. 24,990 TV, huh?
Moving on to the picture quality, the Reconnect RELEB4304 sports a 43-inch IPS LED panel. You may not call it extraordinary quality, but it is very good for its price. The contrast levels are higher and this can make the picture look a bit too gaudy. Turning the contrast level down makes the picture quality a lot more natural, and by switching to the standard picture mode. It has good brightness levels and detail, which you will appreciate while watching most TV channels and full HD content from YouTube.
Typically, a TV priced at around Rs. 25,000 would have limited connectivity options. Thankfully, the Reconnect RELEB4304 is well equipped. It has two HDMI ports, so we had our set-top box and PlayStation 4 console connected simultaneously. The TV also supports HDMI-CEC which lets you control connected devices using a single remote control. This means, you don’t have to bother with multiple remotes. The Reconnect RELEB4304 also comes with an optical audio jack, which is great if you wish to connect a good sound system, using a single cable. It also offers higher quality audio. In addition to these, the TV has a VGA and an Ethernet (LAN) port which are handy.
After two days of extensive use, we think this is a great TV to own. We really like its premium looks, features and performance, especially when they are offered at such an attractive price. This TV has all the features you can ask for, a web-browser, third-party app support, screen-mirroring, a decent picture quality which you will rarely find in any other TV at this price range. Reconnect is also offering 2 years of warranty on this TV, more than what other brands typically offer. All of this means this TV is perfect for first time smart TV buyers or people looking for a secondary TV.
