LG’s all-new Gallery series (GX) of OLED TVs OLED use self-lit pixels that unlike LED TVs, emit their own light. Pixels can individually dim or brighten resulting in accurate blacks and whites, and rendering unbelievable details. LED TVs cannot achieve this feat since they largely use external lights that don’t offer this level of control. OLED TVs can therefore, render more accurate HDR using wider colour gamut made available. OLED TVs have other advantages, owing to their edgeless design. They appear like large art frame on the wall rather than bulky television sets. The LG GX Smart OLED TV series are much more than that, and as prices now plummet, these TVs are more practical than they would have been a year or two back.

The LG GX is available in two sizes – 65 and 77 inches. The TV is minimalistic. It is slim and uniform all throughout, with a bezel-less design fused inside the TV’s frame. The 4K OLED display has a standard resolution of 3840 x 2160. It’s also tested for blue light and flicker, so you needn’t worry about eye strain. The metal back of the TV is simple, with connectivity ports neatly aligned to the right with an L-shaped cut-out for cable management. The wall mounting bracket is hinged, allowing it to be folded so the TV sticks firmly against the wall. It can be pulled out to gain access to ports when needed. The TV has three USB ports to connect external USB storage devices, even a wireless keyboard, keyboard or game controller. Wired headphones can also be connected to the 3.5mm headphone jack.

The LG GX has four HDMI 2.1 ports so you can connect all kinds of sources to it. The LG GX TVs include features such as Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) that reduce stutter, and frame tearing while playing games. It’s worth noting that the LG GX TV supports NVIDIA G-Sync that lets the TV achieve the highest refresh rate, get ultra-fast response times and the least delay between inputs and on-screen refreshing.

The LG GX TVs use an all-new, powerful LG Alpha a9 Gen 3 AI 4K processor that uses deep machine learning algorithms to analyse the quality of on-screen content. It is also better at handling 4K image processing, by enhancing on-screen text, and adjusting the picture quality depending on the picture mode – movies, sports, or animation. It even optimises sound by identifying over 17 million voices, sound effects, and frequencies.

The TV comes with 4.2-channel, down-firing Dolby Atmos complaint speakers that are rated at 60W. A 20W subwoofer unit is also present to bring in the bass element to the sound. Other AI features include AI Brightness Control, AI Acoustic tuning and Adaptive Sound Control that help balance the picture and sound output.

The LG GX comes with webOS, the award winning platform that’s both, easy to use and has a range of features, free apps and access to popular subscription services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Hotstar and more. The bundled Magic Remote is intuitive and helps run through the TV’s interface. The initial setup is made fun with LG’s very popular and animated Bean Bird character that assists through every step.

Being one the most premium offerings, the LG GX comes with ThinQ AI that lets you use voice control to interact with the TV, and it also acts as a hub for home IoT devices. The TV uses natural voice recognition to listen to you and it learns your viewing habits. It also recommends movies, music or even TV shows. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are also built-in, which can be enabled using a button on the remote.

The GX series of OLED TVs are some of the finest TVs from LG. It is well designed, so you can mount it on the wall like a piece of art. The LG GX Smart OLED TVs start from Rs. 284,990* for the 65-inch model. LG even has the TV AR app that uses augmented reality to show you how the TV would fit in your living room. The TV is now available on RelianceDigital.in for purchase, and if you prefer a demo, your nearest Reliance Digital store is never too far away.
