Smart devices and digital voice assistants are trending technologies these days. In 2016, Google launched smart speakers – the Google Home, followed with the Home Mini. Both these speakers are powered with Google Assistant, the voice-assistant found on your Android smartphones. You can ask it all kinds of questions or even tell it to do things.
Google Home and the Home Mini give you a hands-free solution at home. You can place it anywhere in the living room, bedroom or even in the kitchen. Just say “Hey Google” and ask it to tell you the latest news update, play music, etc. These speakers are portable and lightweight, hence can be a good companion at home and outdoors. Before you actually start using Google Home speakers, you need to first connect it to your phone to set it up. Here are some simple steps to connect your smartphone to the Google Home.
Pairing your smartphone with Google Home smart speakers
Download the Google Home app on your phone
Connect Google Home / Home Mini to the power outlet
Open the Home app and go to the “Browse” section
Click on the small device icon displayed on the top-right corner of the screen
Click on the device name (Home or Home Mini) you want to connect
Say "Hello Google" to and proceed with the voice commands
