Fitbit’s Versa series watches are a staple for any fitness enthusiast. They let you track your health, receive notifications, listen to music without ever having to touch your phone. They are affordable too. Fitbit launched the Versa 2 in 2019, but it wasn’t nearly as big a change as the new Versa 3. It is smarter, has a new design and it brings tons of new health and fitness features.

The Fitbit Versa 3 retains its squarish shape, but it now has more rounded edges that give it a premium look. The watch is also lighter and slimmer, so it’s comfortable to wear. The watch has an indented touch area instead of a physical button. It provides haptic feedback and makes accessing features easy.

The Versa 3 has an aluminium chassis for high durability. It is also water-resistant up to 50m, so you can wear it in the shower, while running in the rain or swimming. It can even survive a dip in salt water, although Fitbit recommends not wearing it in a hot tub or sauna. The Fitbit Versa 3 is available in two shades. The Soft Gold colour is the newest, aiming for a classic look. The black variant suits every style and occasion.

The design isn’t the only change on the Versa 3. It has a larger 40mm AMOLED display with a higher resolution of 336 x 336. The higher resolution screen makes reading texts and notifications easy. The screen also pops out crisp and clear colours, which users can enjoy while trying colourful watch faces. The display also claims to offer better outdoor visibility, so you can see notifications or track your workout progress easily. Fitbit has also redesigned the strap for a streamlined look. The design is like the pricier Fitbit Sense, and you can also opt for optional straps to personalise your styling.

Fitness and health are where Fitbit watches always excel, and the Versa 3 is no different. The watch now suggests Guided Breathing Sessions for improving focus and tracking mindfulness. It has an optical sensor that tracks your heartbeats. It works with Fitbit’s new PurePulse 2.0 technology for accurately tracking calorie burn. The Versa 3 also has an in-built SpO2 sensor that monitors the oxygen level in your blood and analyses your fitness in real-time. The Active Zone Minutes feature monitors the fat burn and records peak heart-rate zones while exercising.

The Fitbit Versa 3 can now also track your sleep. It divides your sleep into Light, Deep and REM, and provides a daily sleep score in the Fitbit app. It also automatically measures your breathing rate while you sleep to help you understand your wellness.

The Versa 3 now comes with an in-built GPS that was missing on the previous Versa watches. It lets you track outdoor runs, rides, hikes and see your pace and distance without your smartphone. The watch supports 20 goal-based exercises such as swimming, running, circuit training and interval workouts, covering most people’s needs. The SmartTrack feature also automatically recognises and records exercises.

The Fitbit Versa 3 comes with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can quickly ask questions, set reminders and timers using voice commands. It also lets you control your smart home device straight from your wrist. The watch has a tiny mic and a speaker that allow users to make and even receive calls. You can get all your phone notifications on your wrist and choose which apps can push notifications in the Fitbit app. Android users can also reply to texts with a handful of preset messages.

The Fitbit Versa 3 promises up to 6-days of battery life, a day more than the older models. The watch now supports fast charging, and Fitbit claims a full day’s charge in just 12 minutes. It ships with a new magnetic dock charger which makes charging the device easier.

The Fitbit Versa 3 offers all-around performance. It has all the fitness-health features you can ask for and its premium design simply makes it a complete package. The watch is priced at Rs. 18,999* and it is available at your nearest Reliance Digital store and at www.reliancedigital.in.
