Many congratulations and thanks to teams at both BPL and RelianceDigital for bringing an excellent product to the market, equally feature rich as all other competing products, very high quality and at a price less than half of what other brands and online retail stores ask for similar products. Both I and my family are extremely happy with the purchase and the product and have been using it regularly, every day since we received it more than a month ago. I would give it 4.5 stars if that was an option. Helpful notes for fellow buyers: - 1. Only cast iron vessels and vessels rated for induction cooktop will work on this. We had plenty of stainless steel vessels with a heavy (sandwich) base, but they didn't work on the induction cooktop. We had to buy new vessles. Obviously, this is not a defect of the product, I knew this before making my purchase. 2. Power levels we can select are 2000W, 1800W, 1600W, 1400W, 1200W, 1000W, 600W and 200W. At power levels from 2000W through 1000W, there is constant application of energy at the corresponding level. But at 600W, the cooktop pulses energy in a 5 seconds on/7 seconds off cycle. And at 200W, the cooktop pulses energy in a 5 seconds on/12 seconds off. We had to discover this experimentally. The manual does not contain this detail. The reason this is important is because a lot of dishes require us to bring the contents to a boil and then let it cook at "low heat" for a long time (e.g. kadhi, soup etc.). On a gas stove, low heat means constant supply of minimal heat from the burner. But ont this one, there are pulses of energy delivered to the contents for a few seconds followed by few seconds of no energy. If the vessel is full of contents to the brim, then the few seconds of energy is sufficient for the contents to boil over (which would not happen if it was actually a constant supply of low energy, like on a gas stove). We learned this the hard way, but now have learned to use a vessel about 30% bigger than the contents. In short, whoever is coming from other cooking stoves, there will be a learning curve, for us to learn all its functions. 3. It is mandatory to select one of the 10 pre-set functions to use this cooktop. There is no "manual" mode where we can just power it on and use the + and - buttons to set the power level. 4. There is a cooling fan under the unit, which is fairly loud (enough to drown out the phone ringtone from the other room of the house). That fan runs constantly as long as the cooktop is powered on with a function selected. Constructive feedback to BPL and RelianceDigital, which would bring my review to 5 stars: - a. Re. #3 above, add a default manual mode. "Curry" which does what I described, but it requires us to press the function button 6 times, every time upon powering on. b. Re. #2 above, few more details about the functions in the manual will be helpful. e.g. We still don't know exactly what "Rice" does? c. Re. # 4 above, a silent cooling fan will be nice.

Overall build is good. Cannot control the power settings in most of the functions. This is is something that I miss from the other brand.

I have bought this induction , beleving only company's reputation...and finally found good one in this price range. British Physical Laboratory (BPL)....Ek time tha jab BPL largest electronic company tha.....korean company samsung ne duba dia......but i think its time to grow once again indian company

Really nice product with this amount, boil 3 - 5 ltr water in approx. 10-15 mins, touch surface and Glass is good, Overall nice product and good service gave by reliance Digital.
