Well, such sweat-free days of summer are within your grasp thanks to the advent of new standards in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration. When you make the choice for the right AC for your room, pay close attention to the STAR ratings in Power Savings Labels for your ACs - because all ACs sold at Reliance Digital stores are turning GREEN! Whoa! Relax – what we mean is all ACs with the 2012 Power Savings label would have a GREEN band replacing the earlier RED band – signifying a major change in savings for you! Beginning 2012, BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) has revised the rating guidelines for Split ACs – which means for the same STAR rating as of last year (2011) you get a higher EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) AC as also has lesser impact on the environment thereby reducing the impact on Greenhouse effect significantly. In order for the update to be discernible to people at large, BEE has changed the label colours from a RED band to a GREEN coloured band. So look out for the GREEN coloured Power Savings labels when making your next AC purchase. |
